How'd I end up here again....Oh right I wanted to "see more beyond my home". *sigh* I figured the military might help me see the world, but all I ever did was guard duty and small patrols. Of course complaining to my superiors didn't get me far. All they tell me to do is "shut up and do your job". Eh... i mean they're right but they don't have to be so blunt. I cant help but want to see this new world, to explore the unknown lands. Sounds like a real adventure, a chance to prove my worth in this world.... so to speak.
I guess a little explanation is in order. I like Fighting.... no i'm not crazy, i just enjoy the challenge, the chance to show i can stand against the best of warriors. I wasn't always like this, in fact i was quite timid at a young age. I never could stand bullying though. I hated seeing the bigger kids mistreat the others just cause they could, but standing up to them may not have been the wisest choice for how small i was at the time. I'm thankful though, it gave me the drive to become stronger. Not just so i could get back at them, but to protect the ones who couldn't protect themselves. I know sounds silly right? Just a Bleeding heart that cant stand seeing others suffer. But i was proud of how i turned out.
Of course the military seemed like a good choice for me right? You know, "be a part of something greater", "protect your home and it's people"......yadayada the whole inspirational stuff. All i ended up doing is.... you guessed it guard duty and patrols. *haha* seems i've gone full circle. My apaologies, I have a habit of derailing myself ..... a lot actully. Anyways, back to the main question, "how'd i end up here?" i believe you asked Sieg? Well I think my complaints to the officers ended up getting annoying*haha*; so much so the sent me on a "special task". The task being to protect a group of refugees on there way to Cannich. Of course this was just a way to get rid of me and my complaining, but i didn't mind; after all its a chance to go somewhere beyond home and i couldn't very well turn down an opportunity like that. Also people need protecting so it was a good cause. Then I finally arrived here only to find out that this city was in conflict with an entire kingdom. "What did i get myself into?" I thought at first. I wasn't really expecting to go to war for a town i just arrived in. What could i do though? They needed all the help they could get and i couldn't abandon people in danger. After all some of them are my own countrymen. So I just became part of the militia and prepared myself for whatever may come.
Then came the battle of Whitehorn. *sigh*To be honest I really don't know who really won that fight. We held them from advancing any further, but they still controlled the village in the end. I wasn't part of the main force though so I didn't see how the entire battle went. I was in a small strike force... the second one deployed actually. We never got word of the first one after a while and we were sent to complete the task assigned and look for survivors....if anyone even did survive. That's how I came across you anyway Sieg. It had to be rough seeing all you allies falling around you, i'm sorry you had to go through that. You were quite lucky we found you when we did. You were just lying there unconscious, kind of funny though, you were clearly in that first strike force and there was a fight but there wasn't a scratch on you. I guess its like i said earlier, you were quite lucky.
And here we are now. Sorry for talking your ear off, i tend to ramble when i really get into what I'm saying. Glad we were able to make peace with Geranna. Continuing that fight would have ended i terrible losses for Cannich. I just hope they honor the peace, cause it feels like they could act at any moment and Cannich needs to be prepared for any possibility...... Well I hope i answered your question, probably a bit more than that *haha*, but how about you? Care to tell me how you ended up in Cannich Sieg?
